Water Change System (W.C.S.)
Description:
The Unit is designed to work in conjunction with the built-in Digital Timer (see the section Digital Timer Instructions), to automatically change a specified volume of aquarium water with your premixed replacement water.

It utilizes a total of 5 float sensors to regulate the water level and provide safety redundancy. It also will activate audible alarms, and GREEN and RED LED indicators as well as disable operation until the fault situation has been corrected.

SETUP:
1) Place your W.C.S. Replacement Water Pump (not included) into your Premixed Replacement Water Vat (not included). Route the tubing from the pump to your aquarium sump. Next, plug that pump into the receptacle on The Tank Boss WCS Main Unit marked ‘FILL Pump’.
NOTE: To prevent a water siphon from your aquarium sump to the premixed replacement water vat or vice versa, be sure to position the tubing to avoid this.

2) Place your W.C.S. Sump Drain Pump (not included) into aquarium sump. Route the tubing from the pump to the Waste Water Vat (not included) or your Drain area if available. Next, plug that pump into the receptacle on The Tank Boss WCS Main Unit marked ‘DRAIN Pump’.

NOTE: To prevent a water siphon from your aquarium sump to the Waste Water Drain Vat or vice versa, be sure to position the tubing to avoid this.

Mount the sensor in your Replacement Water Vat at the lowest water level needed for the W.C.S. Replacement Water Pump to operate safely and correctly. The purpose of this float sensor is to detect a low water condition in you’re W.C.S. Replacement Water Vat and shut off your W.C.S. Replacement Water Pump, protecting it from a run-dry scenario. See Diagram 1.

PLEASE NOTE: If you do not want to use the W.C.S. Replacement Water VAT LOW Water Safety, Simply do not attach the float sensor to ‘The Tank Boss WCS’ Main Unit.
